Community Events

The Cable Community Farm holds an annual Harvest Dinner on the second Tuesday of October at the Cable Community Center.  This dinner is part of a series of Community Dinners sponsored by CARE (Cable Area Resources in Emergencies).  The dinners are free of charge and everybody is welcome.  The Harvest Dinner is a “potluck-style” dinner, in which all of the gardeners from the community have a chance to show off the abundance from their gardens.

The Community Halloween Party is becoming a Cable tradition, drawing a large crowd to enjoy the haunted house, bonfire, spooky garden, pumpkins, hot chocolate, and lots of candy! Rain or shine, this annual event is fun for all ages!

The Cable Community Farm holds educational activities during Cable Garden Fest, a community-wide celebration of gardening.  In 2014, there was a scarecrow-making workshop and a story time.  In 2015, community members learned how to make bent willow trellises.
