Learn the basics of bent wood construction and complete a project ready for installation in your own garden. No experience necessary, but each participant should bring the following: a charged cordless drill, loppers, pruning shears, small hammer, pliers, and wire cutter. All of the wood, hardware and drill bits will be provided.

Beekeeping 101
1 to 2 pm

This hands-on workshop is for those who are curious about bees and those getting started with beekeeping. It will cover the fundamentals of beekeeping, proper equipment, diseases and pests, and a discussion of honey harvest and extraction. Participants will learn how bees communicate with each other in the hive and why bees are so important to the earth’s food supply.
